Asian Ribs

A friend of mine posted this in her status and I wanted to save it; what better place than the Recipe Swap page?!

2 lbs country style pork ribs, 1/2 cup water, 1 cup soy sauce, 1 cup brown sugar, 2 jalapeno peppers, 1/8 tsp black pepper - throw it all into the crockpot (leave jalapenos whole) on low for 6-8 hours. Remove peppers and serve with rice.

Slow-Cooker Steak Italiana

SUPER-EASY

•1 1/2 pounds round steak
•1 jar (approx. 15 ounces) chunky garden spaghetti sauce or your favorite
•1 teaspoon salt
•1/2 teaspoon dried leaf oregano
•1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
•1 to 2 cups whole small onions, frozen thawed or canned and drained

Preparation:
Cut round steak into 5 or 6 serving-size pieces. Sprinkle with salt, oregano, and pepper. In crockpot pour spaghetti sauce over the round steak. Cover and cook on low for 7 to 8 hours or until meat is tender. Turn control to high; add onions. Cook on high for 30 minutes longer. 
Serves 6.

BBQ Pulled Pork

3-4 lb boneless pork loin, trimmed
1 cup water
1-2 bottles of your favorite bbq sauce 

Cook pork loin and water in crockpot for 7 hours on high. Remove pork and shred. Discard any juices left in crockpot. Return pork to crockpot and add bbq sauce to taste (we like a lot in ours). Simmer on low for 30-60 minutes.

Root Beer Pulled Pork

Slow-Cooker Recipe
Prep-Time: 10mins, Cook Time: 7hrs, Yields: 8 servings

Ingredients:
1 (2 pound) pork tenderloin
1 (12 fluid ounce) can or bottle root beer
1 (18 ounce) bottle your favorite barbecue sauce
8 hamburger buns, split and lightly toasted

Directions:
Place the pork tenderloin in a slow cooker; pour the root beer over the meat. Cover and cook on low until well cooked and the pork shreds easily, 6 to 7 hours. Note: the actual length of time may vary according to individual slow cooker. Drain well. Stir in barbecue sauce. Serve over hamburger buns.

Slow-Cooker Chicken for Tacos

1 pkg (about 1.5 lbs) boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 jar (16 oz) salsa
1 can (15 oz) fire roasted tomatoes

flour tortillas
your favorite taco toppings

Put the chicken, salsa, and tomatoes in the slow cooker and cook until the chicken is falling apart. (About 4 hours on high, or 6 hours on low.)
Shred the chicken. Serve with tortillas and whatever you like on tacos.

Slow-Cooker Ribs

4-5 lbs country-style pork ribs
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 can cream of onion soup
water
salt and pepper

Whisk together the soups with two soup-cans of water. Pour in the slow cooker. Add the ribs and coat with the soup mixture. Cook on low 6-8 hours or high 4-6 hours. Serve over rice or mashed potatoes.

Slow-Cooker Jambalaya

*Not too spicy--my girls LOVED it!

1 lb boneless/skinless chicken cut into 1 inch cubes
1/2 lb andoulle sausage, dice (I used kielbasa)
1-28 oz can diced tomatoes
1 medium onion, chopped
1 stalk celery, chopped
1 green pepper, chopped
1 cup chicken broth
2 tsp oregano
2 tsp creole seasoning
1 tsp hot sauce
2 bay leaves
1/2 tsp dried thyme
1 lb frozen, cooked, and peeled shrimp--thawed
Rice to serve it with

In crockpot, combine all ingredients except shrimp and rice. Cover. Cook on low for 7 hours. Stir in shrimp. Cover and cook until shrimp is heated (about 5 mins.) Discard bay leaves. Serve over rice.

Slow-Cooker Potato Soup

8 C. cut up potato
1 small onion, chopped
1/2 lb crumbled bacon
1-8oz pkg cream cheese
2-14.5 oz Chicken broth
1 can cream of chicken
1 cup milk

Combing all ingredients in crockpot. Cook on high 4-5 hours or low 8-10. I serve it with cornbread and its so yummy! Enjoy :)

Slow-Cooker Lasagna

1lb. ground beef
1 jar (26 oz) spaghetti sauce
1 c. water
1 container (15 oz) ricotta cheese
1 pkg. (7-8 oz) shredded mozzarella, divided
1/4 c. parmesan cheese, divided
1 egg
2 tbsp. chopped parsley ---> I replaced this w/ 2 tbsp italian seasoning when I made it
6-8 lasagna noodles, UNcooked

Brown meat in large skillet; drain. Stir in spaghetti sauce and water. Mix ricotta, 1 1/2 c mozzarella, 2 tbsp. parmesan, egg, and parsley.
Spoon 1 c. meat sauce into slow cooker; top with layers of half EACH of the noodles, broken to fit, and cheese mixture. Cover with 2 cups of the remaining meat sauce. Top with remaining noodles, broken to fit, ceese mixture and meat sauce. Cover with lid.
Cook on LOW 4-6 hours or until liquid is absorbed. Sprinkle with remaining cheeses; let stand, covered 10 minutes or until melted.
Cook on low, 4-6 hours, or until liquid is absorbed.
